The 31st annual Great Reno Balloon Race, scheduled this year for Sept. 7-9, 2012, is going to bring large crowds, new pilots and balloons, new special shapes, perfect weather and lots of fun, just at it has done for three decades. Organizers estimate more than 150,000 spectators attended last year's event. The 2012 event schedule has not been released yet, so check back for more details.
