Heavenly Ski Resort is the largest mountain resort in the Lake Tahoe region featuring the highest elevation and the longest vertical drop. It is easy to find lodging in close proximity to the resort. At least eleven mountain lodges are within easy walking distance from the slopes. In addition, nearly 250 hotels and motels can be found in South Lake Tahoe. Shuttle bus service is available from the slopes to the majority of the hotels and motels.
