Incline Village Nevada
Incline Village (NV) is a popular place for travel and family vacations. In fact, real estate agencies abound with information about homes for sale and even rental accommodation for the summer and winter seasons. Interestingly enough though, it is one of the wealthiest areas on the planet, overlooking the magnificence of Lake Tahoe and the mountains of Nevada.
Lake Tahoe, Nevada, is home to the gorgeous mountain mansions of the wealthy, who buy up real estate in and around Incline Village (NV). However, most can ill afford these and opt for information regarding travel homes and fun vacations in its many nearby resorts. In fact, its popularity has grown incredibly since its inception and today it hosts not only theatrical festivals, but a wealth of outdoor activities that even the less active person cannot resist.
It is interesting how the area got its name, from a late 19th century tramway called the Great Incline which was constructed by local loggers. However, the town is generally undulating and surrounded by mountains that have become famous for their wonderful houses. In fact, its eastern shores provide some of Lake Tahoe's most peaceful beaches, as well as a more sophisticated way of life.
The summer is the busiest time of year there. Tourists and cultured folk flock to the local Shakespeare Festival that is held in the next community, Sand Harbor, and Incline becomes over run with visitors looking for shelter in its many hotels and resorts. Others opt for the trails, cycling, hiking or backpacking, or burying themselves in the resort casinos.
Other activities include the annual most attractive bike ride competition, which takes place every June, the July 4th festivities, lake music festival, art and wine festival, boating week, and the brewers and jazz festival. Winter sports include everything from hottubbing, snowshoeing, dining and shopping to more casino gaming.
