Overview

Though Sierra-at-Tahoe is known for its skiing, the resort has many other activities to enjoy including tubing, snowshoeing, and several kid-friendly snow play areas.

Terrain Parks
Sierra is home to five terrain parks ranging in difficulty from small obstacles all the way up to expert only terrain. Sierra is also home to the south shore’s only Superpipe.

Snowshoeing
Sierra boasts three miles of maintained snowshoe trails, complete with interpretive signs that detail area wildlife and plant-life. 2-Hour passes (including rentals) are $27.

Tubing & Snow Play Areas
Whether you’re looking for an exciting trip down Sierra’s tubing hill, or just want a spot for the little ones to play in the snow, Sierra’s tubing and snow play area can accommodate your needs. Here you can also find picnic tables and outdoor fire pits. Tubing hours vary, so call 530-659-7453 for up to the minute information. Tickets are $30 per person.

Adventure Zones
These themed on-mountain adventure zones feature a variety of kid-sized terrain as well as animated characters that educate kids on local animals and area history.
