Overview

While Heavenly is among the largest ski resorts in the Tahoe area, there’s a lot more to do here than just ski. Other popular wintertime activities include ice skating, snowshoeing, and tubing.

Ice Skating
Located in Squaw’s Olympic Pavilion and accessible via their aerial Cable Car, this outdoor rink is among the most scenic in the Tahoe area. Hours are 11am to 7pm Monday through Friday and 11am to 9pm Weekends and Holidays.

Snowshoeing
Squaw offers midnight snowshoe tours beginning from High Camp. Call the resort to get information on available dates.

Tubing
Located at the Papoose Discovery Center, Squaw maintains two tubing lanes. 

Climbing Wall
Reaching over 30’ in height, with routes ranging from beginner to expert, Squaw’s climbing wall is a great activity for kids and adults alike. Open year-round on weekends from 12pm to 5pm.

Scenic Cable Car
Squaw’s scenic cable car transports riders up 2,000 feet to High Camp at 8,200’. From the top enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains, as well as fun activities such as a climbing wall, and ice skating rink. The car operates from 9am to 4pm daily.
