Northstar boasts three heated outdoor pools, three spas, and two saunas, all available to the public for a fee. - Lake Swimming
For many, Tahoe’s chilly waters are too cold for swimming, but for those who are willing, the Lake boasts many scenic beaches with easy lake access. Popular beaches include North Tahoe Beach, Pope Beach and Moondunes Beach. Other popular area lakes include Donner Lake, Angora Lakes, and the King’s Beach State Recreation Area. - Grover Hot Springs
Located about thirty minutes from South Lake Tahoe near the town of Markleeville, the Grover Hot Springs are a naturally fed hot spring located in the scenic Sierra Mountains. Due the the waters warm temperature, you can swim here year-round. - Truckee River
If you’re looking to take a break and relax on the water, look no further than the Truckee River. This river is best experienced on a five-mile float beginning at Fanny Bridge and ending at the River Ranch Restaurant. Expect to spend approximately 3 hours on this float.
