Overview: The Tour de Tahoe, held annually in September, if a 72 mile biking extravaganza. Throughout the course there are challenging climbs but once you have reached the peak, awe-inspiring views of Emerald Bay, Spooner Junction and other Lake Tahoe areas will keep you motivated to the finish line.

Details: It should be noted that the Tour de Tahoe, due to the elevations ranging from 6,000 – 7,100 feet above sea level, is recommended for advanced cyclists, not beginners. All of the roads along the course are also still open to traffic so some knowledge of roadside riding is a must. Riders must also be at least 14 years of age.
The race begins and ends at the Lake Tahoe Horizon Casino Resort on Highway 50. The Horizon Casino Resort will also hold a post race pool party so that all riders can rejuvenate after the strenuous yet inspiring Tour de Tahoe.
