Founded in 1847 by a group of Mormon pioneers, Salt Lake City, UT has grown to become a popular travel destination. The beauty of Utah's Wasatch and Oquirrh Mountains is enough to attract people from all over, but that's not all. Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and has become home for those who love outdoor sports and nature.

There's a lot to do to keep you and the whole family occupied for a vacation here. There are plenty of hiking spots around Salt Lake City, and you can bike to your heart's content. With many ethnic festivals during different parts of the year, you will have fun no matter the season you arrive. In September you can attend the Greek Festival, or in the summer visit the Downtown Farmers' Market. Live sporting events are many, and you should definitely see Nascar.
