Overview
Home to 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, a 2,280’ vertical drop, 250 inches of average snowfall, and the largest snowmaking system in Lake Tahoe, Northstar lives up to its reputation as one of Tahoe’s premium winter resort destinations.
Location
Northstar is located on Lake Tahoe’s north shore. From Truckee, head southeast on CA-267 for approximately 6 miles until you reach the resort. Shuttle service is available from Reno and several locations in North Lake Tahoe.
Season/Hours
Northstar is generally open from mid-November to mid-April. Most lifts operate between 8am and 4pm daily. The Big Springs Express Gondola is open until 5pm.
Mountain Services
Northstar offers a variety of on mountain services including equipment rentals and demos, equipment tuning and repair, retail stores, kid’s clinics, child care, lessons, and a variety of dining options.
